Kirsty Kirkwood IACP Accredited Supervisor and Executive Coach

Support for the people others rely on.

Clinical supervision for therapists and counsellors. Coaching for leaders and their teams. Over twenty years in practice, from a base in Bray and online throughout Ireland.

Clinical supervision

A steady place to bring the work.

Supervision with an IACP accredited supervisor. A Diploma in Integrative Supervision and over two decades of integrative clinical practice behind it.

Who it's for

Therapists and counsellors working toward accreditation who need supervised hours logged properly. Accredited practitioners who want a supervisor able to meet the full range of what walks through the door. Practitioners in agency, EAP or student counselling settings carrying high caseloads.

Individual and group supervision are both available, in person or online.

How it works

An integrative approach. In practice that means supervision shaped around your modality rather than imposed on it. It holds whether you work person centred, psychodynamic, CBT or systemically.

Particular attention goes to trauma work and EMDR practice. Also to the ethical and contractual questions that come with private practice. And to the parts of the work that are difficult to say out loud anywhere else.

Executive, leadership & life coaching

Coaching that understands the organisation and the person.

Most coaches understand organisations or they understand people. This practice is built on an MA in Human Resource Management, a Fellowship of the CIPD and an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy. The conversation can go where it needs to.

Business & leadership

For senior leaders, founders and HR professionals. The work covers what does not fit neatly into a performance review. Managing people through change or redundancy. Holding authority without hardening. Difficult working relationships. The decision you keep circling. What happens when the role has outgrown the person or the person has outgrown the role.

Also available for teams and for one-off leadership sessions by arrangement.

Life & career coaching

For individuals at a hinge point. A career change, a return to work, a redundancy, a business being built, or a long held sense that something needs to move. The work is practical and forward facing. It is built around what you want to be different, with room for the reasons it has not shifted yet.

The focus is agreed at the outset and reviewed as the work goes on.

Psychotherapy & counselling

Therapy, when that is what's needed.

An integrative private practice for adults, couples, families, teenagers and students. Short term and long term work are both available.

Areas of work

Trauma and post-traumatic stress. Anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss. Relationships and couple work. Abuse, self esteem and confidence. Work related stress and redundancy. Health related issues and cancer. Pregnancy and fertility. Sexuality and gender identity. Personal development.

Approach

Integrative and relational at its base. It draws on person centred, psychodynamic, gestalt, existential, CBT, behavioural, solution focused, family systemic and psychosynthesis approaches. EMDR is available for trauma. The fit is agreed with you rather than decided in advance.
